The 10th Wedding Anniversary – An Amazing Thing!

In this day and age, there are more divorces than there are marriages. Divorces happen so frequently that often the ink isn’t even dry before the divorce proceedings are begun. It’s no wonder what couples that make it to their 10^th wedding anniversary feel a matter of pride and accomplishment, and well they should! A marriage in this day and age is not an easy thing to keep together, so being able to do so for ten years is something amazing. 

But what to get for the perfect 10^th wedding anniversary gift? There are so many things you can do. The best piece of advice that anybody can give someone who is searching for an anniversary gift is to think with your heart. Being sappy and romantic is perfectly acceptable, especially when choosing your anniversary gift.   Some people go with flowers, others with candy or jewelry. If you really want to stand out, try to bring back the memories of your past – either of your wedding, if it was a beautiful one, or of the amazing times you have shared in the last ten years. If you can afford to spend a lot, book a romantic vacation for two, or a few nights at a beautiful hotel or bed and breakfast. If you can not afford to spend a huge amount of money to celebrate your anniversary, you can still do something wonderful. Take a weekend at home for just the two of you. Turn off the phones and disconnect yourself from the world. If you have children, arrange for them to be at a relatives for the weekend. Get the type of food you ate on your honeymoon, and listen to the type of music you listened to. Pamper yourself, and each other, and revel in the fact that there are many more years of wedded bliss to come.
