Crafty anniversary gift
Sometimes the most important gifts come from the heart. You don’t have to spend a lot of money to make an anniversary to remember, instead why not try some of these great ideas for crafty anniversary gifts. Poetry: sometimes the best way to tell someone you love them is through the power of poetry. If it was good enough for Shakespeare, it should be good enough for you. But don’t worry, you don’t have to be a Ben Jonson or Marlowe to write good poetry. A few rhymes and some sweet words are all you need to write a great anniversary poem. Try mixing old jokes, or romantic moments from when you were first starting to court with admissions of your love. If you’re afraid about form and meter, don’t worry about it. You don’t need iambic pentameter to express your love, but a few rhyming couplets are always nice. Puzzle: Do you have a great wedding photo or a favorite picture of you and your sweetheart? Is your loved one a bit of a puzzle junky? If so, you can get a copy of that wonderful picture of the two of you, mount it on cardboard, and cut it into puzzle pieces. Then later you can spend some quality time together reconstructing your beautiful memories while forming new ones. Painting: Maybe you don’t like puzzles, but you still want to do something with one of your favorite pictures. Why don’t you try your hand at art? You don’t have to be a Rembrandt to recreate some of your favorite memories on canvas or watercolor paper. Any art supply store sells thick watercolor paper, and watercolor paints are inexpensive but they look great. Recreate your best memories of your loved one, while at the same time showing them how much you love them with a beautiful crafty anniversary gift.
